American Music Award nominations: Taylor Swift dominates with eight nods

• Taylor Swift leads this year's American Music Awards (AMAs) nominations with eight nods, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for The Life Of A Showgirl, and Song of the Year for “The Fate Of Ophelia”.
• Swift, who holds the record for most AMA wins with 40, also received nominations for Best Pop Album, Best Music Video, and Best Female Pop Artist.
• Country star Morgan Wallen, US pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter, New York-born singer Sombr, and British artist Olivia Dean each garnered seven nominations.
• Olivia Dean is the most nominated British act, with Dean and Sombr being first-time nominees competing in categories such as New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
• Other British artists recognised include Charli XCX for Best Soundtrack, Harry Styles and PinkPantheress with three nominations each, and KPop Demon Hunters for their track 'Golden'.
