Welsh telecommunications company Flotek Group has made its sixth acquisition since it launched less than a year ago in April 2022 as it continues its acquisition-fuelled growth. The firm has bought Chester-based telecom service provider ECS Solutions for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition takes the ambitious Cardiff startup's turnover to £4.5m and increases its presence in North Wales, the Midlands and the North East of England. It now 850 customers nationwide.
The company has previously acquired Andover-based FlexiNet, Gower Business Systems, Plymouth IT firm MazingTree and Swansea's Cloud9ine Communications.

Flotek chief executive Jay Ball said: “To date, our business growth has focused on South Wales and England, so this latest acquisition is an exciting step forward that significantly expands our reach across the UK.

The deal enables us to achieve a key target of providing a set-time response to clients through dedicated teams now with local engineers accessing North Wales and England, and forge relationships with key stakeholders in the region.”
