Amazon customers are being warned to read the small print when buying a "bargain."
Recently, many shoppers have discovered bargains for as little as 50p on the retail giant's website, and have rushed to order. But when the money left their accounts they noticed they had been charged considerably more.
Text in the small print revealed that postage and packaging had cost an astonishing amount. One shopper was horrified when they went to purchase a bar of Cadbury chocolate, which had been reduced from £3.49 to 41p but was charged an extra £31.99 for packaging and posting, reported Manchester Evening News.
