Amazon's Fire 11 Tablet drops by £110 just one month after UK launch in new sale

Amazon is not shy when it comes to launching its own range of branded tech, especially those powered by Prime's own virtual assistant, Alexa. Now the online retail giant has slashed more than £100 off its latest Fire Tablet release, less than a month after it went on sale in the UK.

As thousands of shoppers are getting ready to prep for the retailer's annual Prime Day discounts, Amazon has launched a sneaky (a huge) price drop on the model. Those who waited until today to buy the newest Fire Max 11 will pay £110 less than those who bought it during the launch.

Despite being launched just weeks ago the newest Fire Max 11 tablet from Amazon is the cheapest price yet, at £139.99. And the pounds slashed off at the online checkout isn't the only reason we'd recommend taking a look at the 'Fire' product.

The Fire Max 11 was launched this June as the biggest and most updated Amazon Fire tablet, a product film and video fans will most likely have their eye on. Its 11-inch display, blue light resolution screen and ultra-fast processor has already made it a 'must-have' piece of tech for streaming video, gaming, or downloading a handful of apps.

A feature that sets it apart from its predecessors is its integrated Wi-Fi 6, software which is key for users to be able to switch seamlessly between apps and use the tablet's split screen feature to do multiple tasks at the same time. For instance, you could be on a work Teams call whilst sending an email or downloading a large file, and there'll be no lag.

And it doesn't stop there. The Fire Max 11 turns into a versatile 2-in-1 device if you buy the Amazon Stylus Pen and Keyboard Case bundle two accessories which take it from a tablet to working from home device in seconds. The bundle usually retails for around £340 but it's currently on offer for £239.98.

A cheaper Fire Tablet option with a 4-star rating

The Amazon Fire 7 tablet (Amazon)

Amazon Fire 7 Tablet - now £44.99

Even though the newest Fire Max 11 has been slashed by £110, it still may be out of budget for some users. Don't worry, as the older Fire 7 tablet is currently up for grabs for just £44.99, and it's smaller price doesn't mean users have to compromise on smart features.

It makes a brilliant device for kids or those looking for a simpler (less high maitenance model), that's according to our tech reviewer James Ide, as he tested out the 2022 Fire 7.

He said: "The Fire 7 tablet shouldn't be overlooked as a support device for those who primarily use their mobile or laptop to do heavy work and gaming, leaving this to be a light and useful device just for reading and watching films and TV.

"The Amazon Fire 7 tablet 2022 is a fantastic option if you are after something simple, that’s very portable and easy to hold, for basic internet browsing and watching films.

"The Fire 7 is its incredibly affordable price as well as Micro SD slot inclusion and its seamless integration of Amazon services, which you'll need an Amazon Prime account to get the most out of."

Amazon Fire Tablets slashed in price ahead of Prime Day

The latest Fire 11 model isn't the only option for shoppers today, there are a handful of previous model with price drops too.
