Online retail giant Amazon is allegedly destroying thousands of rare books at a Las Vegas warehouse to scan their pages and train artificial intelligence language models, according to a new investigation.

The news came after an independent technology outlet placed a tracking device inside a rare book it suspected was being purchased for AI training purposes and followed its journey across the US to a Nevada facility.
