Amanda Seyfried is heading into one of her busiest seasons yet. With two films arriving in December and fresh products launching from her toy company, the actress says she is feeling the strain as she tries to balance an overflowing schedule with raising two young children.
When asked about managing work and motherhood, she spoke candidly to Us Weekly. “Honestly, right now, it’s really hard.” Seyfried and her husband, actor Thomas Sadoski, share a daughter born in 2017 and a son born in 2020. Alongside her acting career, she runs a toy company called Make It Cute, which continues to grow.

“This is the most I’ve ever worked with two kids, and I’ve never had two movies come out at the same time,” she said. “And so, I’m a little bit bananas right now.”
Her upcoming films could not be more different. The first, Paul Feig’s The Housemaid, arrives on December 19. The second, Mona Fastvold’s The Testament of Ann Lee, debuts on Christmas Day. Early reviews have praised her performances in both projects.
“Oh, my God, they couldn’t be more different,” she said. “I’m very equally proud of both. I’ll be honest, The Housemaid is … do not read [the book] until you’ve seen the movie because then it will ruin the twists for you.”

Beyond her film work, Seyfried is also focused on expanding Make It Cute. The company recently released a new DIY kit that allows kids to build their own miniature houses. The brand emphasises sustainable materials, something she believes sets it apart from traditional toy makers.
“We build what we want, and we build what we know doesn’t exist,” Seyfried explained. “Since day one, it’s always felt really special and really unique. We started out so big with these [play]houses, and now we’re like, ‘Let’s get small for a second.’ We have these craft kits that are so cute, and they’re so easy to make. Kids want to put stickers on them and make it their own, and it’s a really good, tactile, imaginative, fun, create-your-own-world kind of vibe.”
Despite the holiday rush and overlapping commitments, Seyfried’s enthusiasm for both her creative projects and her company remains clear. With two major releases and a growing toy line, she is closing out the year with a full slate and a sense of pride in what she has built.
