Amanda Holden revealed she once reached out to Phillip Schofield to put an end to their 'feud' but he ghosted her.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, 52, famously fell out with Phillip, 61, after he was reportedly the reason she missed out on guest hosting This Morning when Holly Willoughby worked on I'm A Celebrity in 2018.
Speaking to her Heart radio co-host Jamie Theakston, Amanda said that she asked Phil to meet for coffee to clear the air in 2019 but was met with no response. It was reported at the time that Amanda was lined up to co-host This Morning with Phil during Holly's stint in the jungle, but he pushed for Rochelle Humes instead.
Mother-of-two Amanda worked on This Morning in 2014 as Holly's maternity cover and was reportedly keen to step back into the role but Phil campaigned for Rochelle to get the job instead. It was reported that Phillip felt the former The Saturdays singer was easier to "manage" on air.
A source at the time told The Sun: “Amanda was so excited when she learnt she had secured the role. She is ITV’s golden girl and has always been a firm favourite with This Morning.
“So she was shocked when she was taken out to lunch by ITV executives who told her that unfortunately they couldn’t follow through with the offer.”
Amanda has taken a few digs at Phil over the years and in 2019 referenced her dislike of the Dancing On Ice host after she was asked by Jamie on their radio show to name three things she wouldn't like to find in her house. She cheekily quipped: "Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield!"
Most recently, Amanda appeared to reignite their feud recently after she backed Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to take over the ITV flagship show.
When asked by Jamie on Wednesday's show whether she would like to see Dermot O'Leary replace Phil on This Morning, she replied: "Yes. I think him and Alison (Hammond) do a great job, don’t they?"
