Tonight on BBC, the last instalment of Amanda and Alan's Italian Job aired as the pair put the finishing touches to 'Casa Alamanda', their two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. The pair bought adjoining flats in rural Sicily – for a total of two Euros – which they knocked together and transformed into a large holiday home during the show.
The eight-part series, followed the duo as they rolled up their sleeves, trying their hand at skills from plumbing to painting and plastering. Fans took to Twitter as the duo showed off their finished apartment. One fan said: "Thoroughly enjoyed watching the fabulous transformation. Alan and Amanda made the show - really good eggs, with an eye for design. Very funny and entertaining. Sad it’s over!! My fave room is kitchen."
A second said: "Love the tiles. Love your chats. Fab music. Really enjoying your Italian job." A third added: "Who knew Amanda and Alan’s Italian job would be so entertaining, love what they have done, kitchen is amazing, where do I buy this apartment?"

The kitchen was chosen by the majority of fans as their favourite room, and now that the flat is listed on Rightmove, viewers could actually make it their own. The Sicily property is on the market for €145,000 - just under £128,000 - and the money raised will go to charity.
Searches on Rightmove for homes in Sicily have more than tripled since the show began at the start of January, compared with the same period last year.
Standing outside their completed apartment, the Alan and Amanda were delighted with themselves for completing the enormous task. Alan and Amanda said: "We've pulled together to breath new life back into our empty apartment. We've managed to marry Sicilian traditions with Alan and Amanda's personalities. Even though our tastes are very different, it's got a really lovely flow to it.
"And I mean we are still friends, I think that is really testament to how well we get on because, you know, it could've been a lot worse."
