Amanda Holden appears to have taken a swipe at Phillip Schofield, years after "feuding" with him. The Britain's Got Talent judge posted a seemingly smug Instagram post following ITV's announcement on Saturday, May 22, that Phil would be stepping back from This Morning with "immediate effect".
Phil's departure from ITV's daytime magazine show comes following extensive speculation that he and his co-star of 14 years Holly Willoughby were embroiled in a "feud". The friendship between the pair of presenters, who were once loved by the public for their close bond, hungover antics and giggling fits on This Morning, is said to have "cooled" in recent months.
ITV bosses and Holly, 42, were said to be unhappy with Phil after he attempted to smooth out the claims via a statement he released on May 12, in which he asserted that Holly was his "rock". Phil, who presented his first This Morning show back in 2002, also claimed that he and Holly were still "the best of friends".

Amanda, 52, has been very vocal in the past about her falling out with Phil. The pair are said to have clashed after he allegedly stopped her from replacing Holly on the sofa in 2018, when she flew out to Australia to step in for Ant McPartlin on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
The singer once claimed during one of her Heart Radio shows that she had extended an olive branch to Phil, but he ignored her. Now that Phil's time on This Morning has been cut short, it seemed that Amanda was quick to celebrate, posting a bicep curl emoji to her Instagram grid shortly after the news broke on Saturday.
Amanda's post was soon inundated with likes and comments, with her friends, fans and fellow stars leaving messages beneath the emoji. "Exactly," wrote ex-Corrie star Charlie Condou.
Another wrote: "Here's to strong women and men who try and move them on when they try and stand up to them. It’s been along time coming but thanks to karma"
"No Holden back for sure," said a third. "YES AMANDA!"
Amanda confessed during her Heart FM breakfast show a few years ago that it "wasn't nice to wake up to those headlines over the weekend" after Phil reportedly suggested that Rochelle Humes should fill Holly's shoes on This Morning, not Amanda. When Amanda's co-host Jamie Theakston asked her if she'd tried to make amends with Phil, she replied: "Yes, I text him recently but didn't get a text back."
According to the MEN, Jamie then wondered whether Amanda and Phil could put their "feud" to bed over a burger, like popstars Katy Perry and Taylor Swift did. "I don't think so," Amanda said, shutting down Jamie's idea. "I'm a vegetarian anyway."
