Alvaro Fernandez has delivered a message to Manchester United supporters and Erik ten Hag as the academy star prepares to recharge his batteries for the upcoming season.
While the Spanish teenager did not make his first-team debut last campaign, it did represent a breakthrough in one sense as he trained extensively with Cristiano Ronaldo and other household names. Fernandez was also included as an unused substitute in four Premier League matches in the closing stages.
His involvement came alongside Hannibal Mejbri and Argentina sensation Alejandro Garnacho.

Hannibal and Garnacho were handed minutes by former interim manager Ralf Rangnick in the closing stages of last season, while the former even started their final day outing against Crystal Palace in front of the watching Ten Hag. It must come as welcome news for the United manager to see so many prospects on the verge of his squad.
Several incomings and outgoings are predicted at Old Trafford during the summer window. However, there will be chances for the next generation - including Fernandez - to impress when the non-internationals report back for pre-season training on June 17 before a first summer outing against Liverpool in Bangkok.
In a message originally posted in Spanish on his Instagram profile, Fernandez said: "An incredible and special season ends for me, for what I lived and unforgettable full of unique moments. Now it's time to rest and recharge batteries."
