It is about time for Alvarez to have a rematch with Dmitry after he lost his WBA title to him last year. Bradley a former American professional boxer competed from 2004 to 2016.
He held multiple world championship in two weight classes including the WBC light welterweight title between 2012 and 2016.
He seemed dissatisfied with the match that went down last Saturday in Las Vegas where Alvarez(60-2-2, 39 KOs) faced his opponent Jermell Charlo(35-2-1, 19 KOs) . Canelo is a Mexican professional boxer who won multiple world championships in 4 weight classes from light , middleweight to light heavyweight
He is also the first and only boxer to become undisputed champion at super middleweight having held World Boxing Association (WBA) super, WBC and Ring Magazines titles since 2020. Charlo is undisputed junior middleweight champion. Alvarez win didn’t satisfy Bradley (33-2-1).
“So everybody got to take a step back, we want to see Canelo again against somebody his own size, somebody who will punch back at him,” said Bradley in media reports.
Last year on 7th May Canelo faced Russian champion Dmitry Bivol on a professional match and he lost the fight. Bivol has held WBA in light heavyweight title since 2017.
He won a gold medal at the 2013 World Combat Games in the 81kgs weight category. As of November 2022 he is ranked as the world’s 3rd best active boxer pound to pound. “Canelo needs to focus on the guys from his weight class, he should agree to face Dmitry at 168 because he made excuses about the weight after his loss last year against when WBA 175-lb champion,” said Tim in media reports.
