All the roadworks taking place in Swansea this weekend

It can be really annoying when you're out and about trying to get somewhere at the weekend and find yourself held up in traffic after accidentally driving into an area where roadworks are taking place.

With sunny spells forecast over Saturday and Sunday in Wales by the Met Office, many will be looking forward to heading out on days out with their family and friends and making the most of the nice weather.

A4118 Gower Road, Upper Killay

Start date: May 17

Duration: 11 days

Reason for works: Drainage works and remedial works for private developer Morganstone. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Bohun Street, Manselton

Start date: May 19

Duration: Five days

Reason for works: Planned maintenance - carriageway resurfacing works. The road will be closed and diversions will be in place. You can read more stories about Swansea here.

Millwood Street/ Manor Road, Manselton

Start date: May 18

Duration: Five days

Reason for works: Planned maintenance. There will be no access to Bohun Street at this time and there will be diversions in place.

Phoenix Way, Gorseinon

Start date: May 13

Duration: Five weeks

Reason for works: Welsh Water will be installing a new sewer. There will be temporary traffic lights in place and delays are possible.

St Mary's Street, city centre

Start date: May 1

Duration: 17 months

Reason for works: Development works are being carried out between 8am and 6pm by private development Morganstone. The road will be closed.

Trallwn Road, Llansamlet

Start date: May 20

Duration: Two weeks

Reason for works: Planned maintenance - carriageway resurfacing works. There will be multi-phase temporary traffic lights in operation and delays are possible.
