It's been over two years since we first heard the term 'coronavirus' and over time experts and the public have gained more information about the virus.
As covid mutates, it appears that each strain can come with their own question marks over the severity and symptoms.
However, the NHS have updated their official list of Covid-19 symptoms as studies show that the side effects have developed from the first cases of the virus.

When Covid-19 first became known, we were told to look out for a dry and consistent cough, sore throat and a temperature.
While these were common symptoms, over time it became known that a change or loss of taste or smell was also being experienced by many people who had caught covid.
Now after two years, the official list of symptoms have been updated on NHS to highlight more cold like sighs.
The NHS do state: "The symptoms are very similar to symptoms of other illnesses, such as colds and flu."
Main symptoms of Covid-19 according to NHS
- A high temperature or shivering (chills) – a high temperature means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
- A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours.
- A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
- Shortness of breath.
- Feeling tired or exhausted.
- An aching body.
- A headache.
- A sore throat.
- A blocked or runny nose.
- Loss of appetite.
- Diarrhoea.
- Feeling sick or being sick.
