The many villagers who call the valley home have arranged a massive series of scavenger hunt missions for you to tackle in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of these tasks is the Picture Pursuit: Cinderella quest, which tasks you with tracking down all Gus Motifs.
The missions featured in this event are some of the overall toughest ones you can face in the valley since they’re all about tracking down hidden images within a vast area. Picture Pursuit: Cinderella quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the Picture Pursuit: Cinderella quest for the Picture Pursuit event, you need to find and take a picture of four Gus Motifs hidden around the Vitalys Mines area. Here’s a full breakdown of everything you need to do to get this mission done.
- Talk to Cinderella. This quest is tied to Cinderella, so you must start the mission by tracking her down to see what Motif she wants you to find and where you need to go looking for it.
- Visit the Vitalys Mines. All the Motifs you need to find are hidden around the Vitalys Mines, which is a secret area tucked underneath the waterfall in the Sunlit Plateau biome. Once you’ve activated this quest by chatting with Cinderella, head to the Sunlit Plateau and into the Vitalys Mines entrance to begin the hunt.
- Find all four Gus Motifs. Search the entire Vitalys Mines area to locate the four hidden Gus Motifs. This is one of the tougher Picture Pursuit missions to tackle, as the mines are quite dark, windy, and generally tough to navigate.
- Return to Cinderella. After finding all four of the hidden Motifs, head back to Cinderella to share your progress. She will then grant you a golden Motif bag to open, which contains the same symbol you just went on the hunt for. You can now use it in Touch of Magic designs.

Throughout the entire Vitalys Mines region, you’ll find a total of four Gus Motifs. To have the easiest time locating them all, I recommend not actually going through the winding tunnels in the back of this space, as all of the Gus Motifs are hidden fairly close to the main entrance area.
Instead, start by heading right and continuing down until just before the small room on the right side. You’ll find two Gus Motifs before you reach this spot. Then, once you snap a picture with both of them, go back toward the entrance and start venturing down the other path. The last two Gus Motifs can be found before you actually head into the main tunnel areas.
These symbols can be tricky to spot, so here’s a full breakdown of where to find all four Gus Motifs around the Vitalys Mines.
- The first Gus Motif can be found on a wooden box close to the cooking station near the entrance. To find this one, enter the mines, head right, and cross over the stone bridge in the middle of the river. Walk past the cooking station, around the table with a chessboard, then look right to spot the Gus Motif.
- The second Gus Motif can be found on a wooden crate near the edge of the water pool up by the waterfall. Starting where you found the last Motif, continue down the pathway for a bit. Go past the wooden wheelbarrow on your left, then slightly past the minecarts in the middle of the path. Stop right before you reach the room on your right, and look back to the left slightly to find a ramp that leads upward. Go up the ramp and look down near the water to spot this Motif.
- The third Gus Motif can be found on the top wooden box in a stack of three over near the left entrance to the tunnels. To start, head back to the main entrance of the Vitalys Mines area. Instead of going right after entering, make a left this time, and start down the path. You’ll spot the Gus Motif as soon as you do.
- The fourth Gus Motif can be found on a wooden crate just past the entrance to the left side of the tunnels. From where you found the last one, start down the path to enter the main mine area. Soon after entering, look right to spot a stack of two wooden boxes with a black bottle sitting on top of them. Look on the backside of these crates to find the last Motif.
There are plenty of other event quests waiting to be tackled after this one. Next, you might work on Picture Pursuit: Merlin, Picture Pursuit: Mickey, and Picture Pursuit: Alice. You need to finish at least five of these missions to earn the grand prize featured in the event.
