Alistair Johnston has completed his move to Celtic from MLS side Montreal in a deal worth in the region of £3million and penning a five-year Parkhead deal.
The right-back has starred at the World Cup in Qatar with Canada and that's sparked widespread interest but Ange Postecoglou moved first and it was revealed during their defeat to Croatia that a deal had been agreed. He signs a long-term deal and will also pocket 10 per cent of the fee that brings him to Scotland, as Record Sport first revealed over the weekend. Johnston is a versatile option for his new boss, having also played centre-back during his career. Johnston is the second signing of the winter in Glasgow's east-end after Yuki Kobayashi 's transfer from Vissel Kobe was confirmed earlier this month.
