Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary are said to have been left 'livid' after they were forced to pay tribute to Phillip Schofield earlier this week following his departure from This Morning.

The pair are said to be fuming at having to make a toe-curling statement in front of millions of ITV viewers after Phillip, 61, confessed to having an affair with a much younger staff member just days later.

They opened Monday's episode of This Morning with a tribute to Phillip who left the ITV programme following reports of a rift between himself and co-host Holly Willoughby at the time.
