NEW DELHI: Imane Khelif, the Algerian boxer at the center of a significant gender controversy during the Paris Olympics, emerged victorious in her semi-final bout on Tuesday. Competing in the women's 66kg category, Khelif secured at least a silver medal after defeating Thailand's Janjaem Suwannapheng, the 2023 world silver medallist, by a unanimous points decision.
