Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is looking healthier with every training session as he continues his injury comeback, according to boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The Colombian international is closing in on an extension to his Ibrox deal which runs out next summer says van Bronckhorst, who has already lost key players Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo this summer. Morelos has been a leading figure around Rangers and continues to be one heading into his sixth season, although he missed last term's run-in with a thigh problem.
Recovery from that is going well and his Dutch boss is hopeful his future is sorted quickly too. Van Bronckhorst said: "At the moment he is training in a big part of the session, which is a good sign. Every session he looks better and sharper so we are monitoring his development really closely in the coming weeks because when he is fit he is one option for me up front.

"We all know his quality. I would rather have him back as quickly as possible. I am only looking at his physical fitness at the moment.
"He has been out for a long time but is working really hard to get back to the levels that he has to be to perform in games. Of course the other issue is the contract he has.
"He is very positive about signing a new contract, we are doing our best to get Morelos to sign a new contract as well. Hopefully in the next coming weeks we will sort it out but the talks are going."
