Alexander Smirnov has entered into a plea agreement with the office of special counsel David Weiss, in which he has agreed to plead guilty to multiple charges.

The plea agreement specifically mentions that Smirnov will plead guilty to 'Count Two of the indictment in United States v. Alexander Smirnov … which charges defendant with causing the creation of a false and fictitious record in a federal investigation.'

He will plead guilty to causing the creation of a false record in a federal investigation.
Alexander Smirnov reached a plea agreement with special counsel David Weiss.
Smirnov also agreed to plead guilty to multiple counts of tax evasion.

In addition to this charge, Smirnov has also agreed to plead guilty to several counts of tax evasion.

One of the accusations against Smirnov is that he provided 'false derogatory information to the FBI.'
