After losing Justin Jefferson and Brian O’Neill in the first half, the second half has started off on the wrong foot, as the Minnesota Vikings have suffered another injury. On only the second play of the second half, Vikings running back Alexander Mattison went down and needed help off the field.
Whatever is ailing Alexander Mattison happened on the first play of the half. He ran a half-speed route on play No. 2 and made a weird attempt to make that catch.

Mattison leaked out into the flat on a pass play early in the second quarter, and after an inaccurate throw from quarterback Josh Dobbs, went down and stayed down on the field.
After some time on the field, Mattison was looked at by the training staff and helped back to the sidelines. As of now, it’s unclear what the specific injury is. We’ll have more information for you on the injury and Mattison’s status going forward as it becomes available.
