Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison has opened up about Dalvin Cook after he was released by the franchise earlier this month.
The Vikings awarded Mattison with a two-year deal this offseason as they put their faith in the 25-year-old, with the running back keen to "maximise" the opportunity. But Cook was let go as a result, and is currently exploring his options ahead of next season.
Cook played all 17 games last season which was a career first, and scored 10 touchdowns in the process. Mattison has thanked Cook for challenging him, but is grateful to now be No. 1 rather than a back-up.
