Alexander Isak has sent out a message to Premier League defences after scoring a wonder strike on his debut insisting: "There's more to come."
The Sweden international looked to have written the perfect script after netting at Liverpool to give Newcastle a fully deserved first half lead. But Newcastle were unable to hold on and after Isak had a second chalked off for a tight offside, two goals in the last half an hour meant it was the same old story at Anfield.
Isak told Chronicle Live: "It's never nice to concede a losing goal in the last seconds like that. So obviously I start disappointed but we have to use this feeling and try to use it as energy for the next game against Crystal Palace."

When asked if that was simply the start of things as a Newcastle star, Isak went on: "I will try to provide a bit of everything, not only in the box but also in the build up play. I will try to float around and use my qualities.
"For the goal, I found a good position in the box and then the pass from Longstaff was incredible to receive. I was just thinking of putting it in the back of the net - and I got a quite good finish, I suppose!
"As for the offside. Yeah. I haven't really seen it, just like a short clip but not really zoomed in on the side. I just heard it was a close call."
His move was pushed through last week with a £58million agreement with Real Sociedad setting up a club record. Isak said he did not waste any time letting his agent know he wanted the move.
The striker said: "I think when a club is so keen to sign you that gives you a good feeling. That's very important so I didn't hesitate.
"Now I am excited to play in the Premier League after playing in Spain. I have been in a few countries now but the Prem was a country I had to try."
When asked about his frustrations about not getting his work permit in time, Isak said: "Obviously it's a bit frustrating to travel with the team and not knowing if you can play or not.
"Obviously I prepared as if I can play, but you can understand it's not the same."
The only concern for Isak was his withdrawal for a muscle worry late in the game. He said: "Yeah, I'm OK. I got a dead leg in the first half which is a bit annoying, but it is nothing serious."
The Swedish ace is now looking forward to Saturday's encounter with Crystal Palace. He added: "I'm really looking forward to playing in front of our fans at home. So that's a positive thing that we have another game just around the corner to respond. "
