A MEMORIAL for former first minister Alex Salmond is set to take place in Edinburgh today.
It is due to be held at 11am in St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and will be streamed live on the BBC’s iPlayer.
Salmond passed away after suffering a heart attack during a conference in North Macedonia on October 12.
The full order of service will run as follows:

The Scottish Resistance has also organised a second memorial event which will take place at Glasgow’s Buchanan steps.
The memorial service is expected to last for around an hour.
