Alejandro Garnacho names Manchester United career highlight so far

Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho has packed plenty of memorable moments into his young career already and countless more will surely follow as the years go by.

While there was little to savour for United supporters last season — certainly in the first-team — Garnacho's emergence at the forefront of a talented youth team was a real highlight. Alvaro Fernandez and Hannibal Mejbri joined him on the Premier League stage towards the back end of the campaign.

Having trained with the first-team at various stages in the season, Garnancho was handed his United debut against Chelsea and enjoyed another cameo on the final day of the season at Crystal Palace in front of watching Erik ten Hag.

Ordinarily for a player who is yet to turn 18, that would be an undoubted highlight with little to stack up against it. But when it comes to Garnacho, there are several other pinch-yourself moments to choose from.

Rubbing shoulders with Cristiano Ronaldo and other esteemed United teammates in training, the Argentina starlet also earned his first international call-up. Of course, that meant the teenager got to mix it with Ronaldo's long-term rival, Lionel Messi, with those two widely regarded among the greatest players in history.

Beyond that, Garnacho played a starring role for the U18s en route to winning the FA Youth Cup crown at Old Trafford, scoring two goals against Nottingham Forest to earn United the trophy. And Garnacho picked it out as his career highlight to date.

Uploading a picture of him celebrating on his Instagram story, Garnacho addressed his 1.1million followers with this short caption: "The best night of my life." He added red love heart and shooting star emojis.
