Alejandro Garnacho hailed by Man United fans for pre-season decision as Donny van de Beek welcomed back

Manchester United fans have been expressing their love for both Alejandro Garnacho and Donny van de Beek as they returned to the club's Carrington training complex.

Erik ten Hag was able to watch a number of his players in training for the first time on Monday as he gears his team up for their tour of Thailand and Australia next month. Garnacho and Van de Beek were two of the players on show.

The former decided to come back from his entitled three-week break early as he tries to impress his new boss. Garnacho had a memorable season last term, having scored twice in the final of the FA Youth Cup and made his first two senior first-team appearances.

He is already a popular figure amongst United followers, who are tipping him for a bright future. Many of them took to Twitter to praise the 17-year-old for opting to make an early return.

@ZingyTheRobot: @agarnacho7 back for training earlier than necessary and showing some of the senior players the kind of mentality required to be an elite footballer.

@diplomaticdeji: Imagine if Sir Alex Ferguson was around to manage this lad and his cohorts. We certainly have another CR7 clone on our hands. Certainly.

@Tanitah: The hunger, mentality, determination and attitude of this Alejandro Garnacho is all Manchester United players should have. Big shout-out to the boy for reporting for preseason earlier than planned. Kid is going far.

@StealthyAssassin: That is the kind of mentality that has been missing from some of these so-called superstars.

Meanwhile, fans were equally as excited to see Van de Beek back at Carrington. The midfielder was sent out on loan to Everton during the second half of the season after being shunned by both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

But many are anticipating a solid season from the Dutchman, who will be working under his former Ajax boss. Ten Hag managed to get the best out of the playmaker as he became a shining figure in their 2019 voyage to the Champions League semi-finals.

United shared a photograph of Van de Beek smiling upon his return which sent social media users into a frenzy.

@ChrisSilveste: So cannot wait to see this lad finally thrive at United under a manager who knows how to use him and believes in him.

@_red_7: Good to see him smiling, he deserves so much better than this club. Hopefully Erik Ten Hag can get his confidence up again.

@anynewsboys: If anyone deserves a welcome back, it's this man
