Shoppers at the major UK supermarkets are now being advised not to use shopping trolleys as a potential way of saving money.
It's a rather simple suggestion in so much that it's tricking you not to buy as many items - much like eating from a smaller plate is a trick often touted by those on diets. Instead, they say you should use a shopping basket. Not only does it mean you're more aware of what's actually in your haul by virtue of seeing it all, you're also physically limited by how much you can carry, the Manchester Evening News reports.
ther changes to help cut your supermarket bill include taking the "downshift challenge". Supermarkets Aldi and Lidl are excellent examples of this, but all major brands: ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons offer their own versions.
