Supermarket giant Aldi is well-known for its array of dupes. From a dupe of the popular Ninja Dual Air Fryer, to items that are very similar to brands like Marks and Spencer (you know what we're referring to), Aldi seems to have it all.
Now another of the supermarket's Special Buys has gone viral after being compared to an expensive designer brand. Shoppers are saying that Aldi's £5.99 Lacura foundation is 'even better than' Giorgio Armarni's £45 Luminous Silk foundation (it's currently on sale for £33 on the Look Fantastic website) - which has found cult status thanks to its popularity with beauty buffs.
One make-up artist, who goes by the name @ sachaesthetics_beauty on Tik Tok, was blown away when she compared Aldi's £6 dupe to Armani's foundation. She couldn't believe how good the Aldi dupe was.

In the video Sacha can be seen testing out the Aldi dupes and originals on both sides of her face to show off the difference. The products included were Bobbi Brown’s Face Base moisturising primer, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer, and NARS’ Orgasm Blush.
Holding up the Lacura Cashmere Glow Luminous Foundation, she captioned the video: “Aldi dupes for Giorgio Armani luminous silk and Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base!”
Taking viewers through each stage step by step, Sacha gave her thoughts on each of the individual products. She said: “I’m gunna start off with the dup for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin enriched base. Oh my god they literally smell the same… Oh, they feel exactly the same.”
She then moved onto the Giorgio Armani foundation, saying the packaging of the make was “literally the same” with the only difference being the bottles’ lids. “Ooo… ooh. I think I might like this (Aldi) side better. Just ignore the colour difference, but can you see this side is way more luminous than the Giorgio Armani.”
Sacha then added the Aldi dupe for NARS’ concealer. The prices of the original would set a shopper back £44.50 for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, £48.50 for Bobbi Brown’s Face Base, £29 for NARS’ Orgasm Blush, and £26 for NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer.
Sacha finished the video with a simple: “Get these, they’re amazing. Get ‘em now because once they’re gone, they’re gone.” Her video racked up over 106,700 in just 19 hours, with 2,695 likes and 50 comments. Viewers rushed into the replies to share their praise, as one person said: “Omg dupe side actually looks better.”
Another wrote, “I want the face base dupe,” while a third commented, “They look so good.” Some even asked for her recommendations for makeup brushes and sponges. Aldi’s dupes would set shoppers back £5.99 for Lacura’s Vitabase Primer, Lacura Candy Blusher for £4.99, Lacura Radiant Concealer for £3.99, and Lacura Cashmere Glow Luminous Foundation would cost you £5.99.
