Aldi shoppers go wild for its own brand of Olaplex - and it's dirt cheap

Supermarket giant Aldi is well-versed in beauty dupes. The retailer has tonnes of dupes of some of the more expensive brands on offer - including dupes for Pixi Glow Tonic, Nars blush, Clinique Moisture Surge and Urban Decay eyeshadow.

While Aldi's products don't always match up to the quality of their designer counterparts, they do offer shoppers who wouldn't usually be able to afford higher-ticket items the chance to use them too. Now Aldi has excited shoppers with its latest release - a dupe of cult hair bond repair brand, Olaplex.

Aldi's new Bonded range will be available to buy from July 28, and features three different products. Products include a shampoo, conditioner and pre-wash treatment.

It's worth noting Olaplex's signature bond building comes from a patented ingredient called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate - and Aldi's product has no mention of this. So if you are looking for the true Olaplex result, you're better off buying the real thing. But if you do want to try Aldi's product, it's cheap enough to do so without risking a lot of cash.

Aldi's Bonded range is a dupe of Olaplex (Aldi)

The Aldi Bonded shampoo (250ml), conditioner (250ml) and pre-wash treatment (100m) all cost £3.49 each - while a 250ml bottle of Olaplex No4 Bond Repair Shampoo alone will set you back £28. These will sit alongside the £2.99 Perfect Proof Extreme Clean Dry Shampoo, which helps to freshen up hair between washes and give dull hair a much-needed shine boost.

News of the product was shared on Facebook, and it quickly got shoppers in a frenzy. Skel KA said: "If you see them girls pick some up for me defo try these."

Remi Harvey said: "worth a try at that price! Quarter of what olaplex is! Hopefully just as good." Rosie Dawson said: "All over this mate game changer."

You'll be able to pre-order Aldi's Bond Repair range on the website from July 24.
