Aldi shopper slams 'shameful' Prime hack to buy crates of viral drink

After shoppers queued for hours outside Aldi to get their hands on Prime Hydration, one customer has shared a cheeky hack that she witnessed during the madness.

Recent videos on social media show crowds shoving each other on Thursday morning to get their hand on the viral drink created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul. The beverage is 10 percent coconut water and contains electrolytes and B vitamins.

The supermarket limited customers to three bottles, but one woman witnessed a man's greedy trick to buy a basket full of the product which she branded as shameful, reports Birmingham Live.

Explaining on Facebook, she wrote: "To the man in Aldi this morning that thought it would be a good idea to load his basket with Prime drink and open them all thinking they would sell them to you as you’d opened them. Shame on you.

"Swearing and abusing the staff as there was a limit of one of each flavour per customer. Well done to the staff at Aldi for taking them off of him and not allowing him to buy them.

"Because of your greed some kids missed out."

One shopper replied: "I hate people like that. He was probably trying to rip people off by charging £20 a bottle. He should be ashamed."

Fans have been desperate to get their hands on the drink, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, for weeks after it became an internet sensation. Aldi has become the second supermarket in the UK to sell the popular drink and they were also forced to put a limit on sales, restricting customers to just three bottles after it became available in October.

In a statement, Aldi said: "The viral hydration drink created by two popular YouTube stars, KSI and Logan Paul, is available to buy for just £1.99 in Aldi stores nationwide on December 29. The drink will be a Specialbuy – and as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

"The supermarket is expecting high demand so a purchase limit of one of each variant per customer has been set to ensure as many people as possible get the opportunity to buy the product."
