Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco and more to implement UK ban affecting how people shop

Supermarket across the United Kingdom must now implement a ban which will affect how people shop in stores.

This means that supermarkets cannot display certain items in prominent locations. The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) implemented the ban on displaying products high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS) in areas such as shop entrances and till areas.

The Government has also confirmed that they are delaying a ban on multibuy deals on HFSS foods, such as “buy one, get one free”, until October next year in response to consumers facing cost-of-living pressures.
