NEW DELHI: Albania's Nedim Bajrami scored the fastest goal in European Championship history, finding the net after a mere 23 seconds in their Group B opener against Italy in Dortmund on Saturday.

According to AFP, Bajrami's strike shattered the previous record of 67 seconds, set by Russia's Dmitri Kirichenko against Greece in 2004.
