Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow contestant gets 'I don't like him, my family doesn't like him' clue in one and it's not surprising

Chatty man Alan Carr returned to our screens this evening (Saturday, July 7) on ITV for the latest episode of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow, whose third series began on June 25. And this time, he's gave 80s television show Child's Play a reboot.

The original ran for a short five seasons between 1984 and 1988 and sees adult contestants guessing a word, person or song based on definitions and renditions given by children. This evening, the four contestants on Alan's revival also needed to decipher the "simple, everyday things" being described by the young children.

For each correct answer, they win a certain amount of money but only one will go on to the final round and have the chance at winning a whopping £20,000. In one round, the children were tasked with describing a certain person to the contestants - and one guesser, Jonny, managed to bag the answer, Boris Johnson, in a flash - winning him £200 onto his prize.

The first child began the descriptive phrases with: "Oh, not him!", while another said of the Prime Minister: "I don't like him, my family doesn't like him". A third said: "He is someone who can take care of everyone", while the final comment cemented the answer: "He tells everybody what to do."

Viewers were quick to comment, with one Twitter user saying: "Well that one aged well after this week #EpicGameshow #BorisJohnson."

Another user, @OllieHand, wrote: "I don't like him, my family don't like him". Is it Boris Johnson? #ChildsPlay #EpicGameshow"

@AmandaxDaughter commented on the show: "BORIS AHHAHA #epicgameshow", while @JamieTVandNews said: "I said Boris before the 1st clue #EpicGameshow".

While some people enjoyed the reboot - which has previous included updated versions of Bullseye and Strike It Lucky - some were not impressed with gameshow. @Wildiswildlife wrote: "Christ this is painful to watch #epicgameshow", while @MadenRon said: "#epicgameshow The stars of the show was the viewers at home that had to put up with this!"
