Alan Carr is officially a baron after buying £3.25m Scottish castle

Alan Carr has revealed he is set to become a baron after buying a sprawling Scottish castle for more than £3 million.

The comedian, 49, confirmed he has purchased Ayton Castle in the Scottish Borders — a historic estate that comes with its own feudal barony, meaning he will gain the title alongside the property.
