Jubilant Alan Brazil couldn't resist a playful dig at Ally McCoist after Rangers heartbreaking Europa League final defeat.
Gio van Bronckhorst's side pulled off a stunning run to Seville seeing off the lines of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund on the way to the final.
However, they fell at the final hurdle with Aaron Ramsey's penalty miss in the shoot-out proving to be the decisive moment.
That led to Celtic diehard Brazil taking a cheeky swipe at his fellow talkSPORT Breakfast Show host McCoist just hours after the devastating end to the journey.
Brazil told the Rangers hero: "It was a late night, and when I was watching the penalties I went to bed and said 'nah, I can't watch this'.
"I had a very early start this morning. I woke up this morning, had a quick glance before I got in my car and you know, it's heartbreaking..."
McCoist admitted he was holding back after the sarcastic well wishes, smirking: "Listen, I'm going to have to tell you, the first thing the boys said to me when I came on this morning was 'remember every sign that you make to big Al this morning will be picked up on the new talkSPORT edge app.
'So therefore, this here (holds up finger) would normally be something a little bit stronger. Ok, that's all you need to know."
Brazil clapped back: "Yes it was just the one penalty that was missed. I've already heard that, one penalty miss..."
