Akshay–Raveena Talk Kids on Welcome To The Jungle Set, Says Ahmed Khan: ‘Everybody Moves On’

The two actors first worked together in the 1994 hit film Mohra, during which their off-screen relationship also became widely publicised. Although their romance eventually ended, both went on to build separate personal lives and successful careers.

“We are all actors and grown up”: Raveena on reunion

Speaking about casting the former couple together, Ahmed Khan said he has known both stars for nearly three decades and shares a close friendship with them. He also noted that Akshay Kumar encouraged him to choose actors purely based on suitability for the role.

When approached for the project, Raveena Tandon reportedly responded positively, saying, “So what? We are all actors and grown up. We are all friends and we will have a blast on the sets.”

On-set camaraderie and shared scenes

Although Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon are not paired romantically in the film, they will appear in shared sequences, including a special song choreographed by Rahul Shetty and Prince Gupta.

Ahmed Khan revealed that the atmosphere on set was friendly and relaxed, with both actors interacting casually, joking, and even discussing their children. He added that several members of the crew, including actor Suniel Shetty—who also starred in Mohra—were present during the shoot and celebrated the reunion.

Revisiting a 1990s Bollywood connection

Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s relationship began during the filming of Mohra in 1994. Their romance was widely followed by the media, and the two were even reportedly engaged in the late 1990s before eventually parting ways.

Over the years, both have remained cordial and moved on in their personal lives. Akshay Kumar is now married to Twinkle Khanna, while Raveena Tandon is married to Anil Thadani.

Despite their past, the upcoming film marks a professional reunion that reflects how both stars have maintained mutual respect and ease in working together again after decades.
