LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who learnt most of the nuances of politics from Mulayam Singh Yadav, had shed all his political robes for the past eight days to play a son who was by his ailing father’s side till his last breath.
Akhilesh had also gone out of his way to play the caring son since Covid-19 had hit India. During the entire Covid surge starting from the first wave, Mulayam remained stationed at his Delhi residence and even at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram to make sure that he stayed away from any infection. Sources said Akhilesh was informed by the doctors about Mulayam’s health complications and to keep him safe from any possibility of infection, the SP chief had convinced ‘Netaji’ to stay put in Delhi.
