NEW DELHI: India's dependable middle-order batter Ajinkya Rahane, who is known for his elegant batting style and solid technique, announced his comeback to Test cricket in style as he completed 5000 runs in Tests during the World Test Championships (WTC) final against Australia at the Oval in London on Friday.
The 35-year-old stood tall amidst ruins as he achieved the feat on Day 3 of the WTC final. Rahane, who needed 69 runs, raced to the milestone in his 83rd Test match.
