Airport passenger traffic grew by 4% in 2021 despite better travel scenario

Pune

PUNE: Passenger traffic at the city airport grew by a meagre 4% in 2021 compared to 2020 despite travel scenario drastically improving last year.

Many believe this was primarily because of limited operations for a long period due to runway re-carpeting work, however, the business community and aviation experts cited the facility’s poor infrastructure as the reason behind the meagre number.
