A girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near Tameside. Emergency services rushed out to Pennine Road in Simmondley, Glossop, following the collision.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing an air ambulance land nearby, while police and paramedics were called out to the scene after 6.25pm yesterday (July 7). Derbyshire Police says the girl suffered a suspected broken ankle.
No arrests have been made so far but enquiries are ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: "We were called to Pennine Road at Simmondley, in Glossop, just after 6.25pm yesterday (Thursday, July 6) to reports of a collision involving a child and a car. Ambulance crews were also called and the girl was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.
"The driver stopped and has been spoken to by officers, and there have not been any arrests." Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact Derbyshire Police quoting reference 23000417465.
