Air ambulance called to take child hit by car on Irish road to hospital

A child has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in East Belfast on Monday.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene, having received reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision on the Upper Knockbreda Road.

The Charity Air Ambulance and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were tasked to the scene, and the child was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
