AIFF sacks secretary general Shaji Prabhakaran for 'breach of trust'

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) made headlines on Wednesday by announcing the termination of Shaji Prabhakaran from his position as secretary general due to a "breach of trust."

This decision, which was carried out with immediate effect, comes just 14 months after Prabhakaran's appointment to the high-profile role within the organisation. The AIFF, however, did not specify the nature of the breach of trust that led to this action.
