Ahead of Goa polls, Meta starts operations centre to track harmful content

PANAJI: Ahead of polling day in Goa, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has activated its election operations centre to watch out for potential abuse during the elections, the company said in a statement.

The company said that it has been preparing for the elections, and has put in place a comprehensive strategy to remove hate speech and content that incites violence, and to make political advertising more transparent.
