RAIPUR: A day after the Enforcement Directorate raided his residence, Vinod Verma, the political advisor to the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, accused the central agency of harassment.
He linked their actions to a "dacoity," alleging that they seized his gold possessions despite him presenting relevant bills as proof of ownership.
"The responsibility now lies with the ED to substantiate its actions," he stated during a press conference held at Rajiv Bhawan, the state headquarters of the ruling Congress party.
