Colby Donovan has revealed Celtic star Kieran Tierney as his major "role model".
The 20-year-old right-back, who recently earned his first senior Scotland call-up, frequently seeks guidance from Tierney, aiming to emulate his success at both club and international levels.
Discussing his international breakthrough, Donovan highlighted the influence of Tierney since his return to Celtic from Arsenal. Donovan said: "Kieran's been brilliant to me since I came through.
"Since he came back from Arsenal, he and I have just clicked together. He's been a big role model to me, not even just in and about Celtic, actually away from the club as well.
"We talk to each other every day, so there's no better player to learn from coming from the academy than KT is there?"

The young player admires Tierney's dedication to Celtic and hopes to follow a similar path. He added: "We talk about it a lot; we're both boys that lived and breathed Celtic. So for me to follow in his footsteps, I've been loving it.
I just want to go on and hopefully have the career that he's had, because he's had an unbelievable career."
Donovan recalled Tierney's support during Scotland's World Cup play-off against Denmark last year. Tierney, coming off the bench, scored a decisive goal, much to Donovan's delight.
Recalling the event, Donovan said: "Getting to the World Cup, I was there watching KT, and he got me tickets for the game. I had a weird feeling on the way; I just thought Kieran might get his chance and get on.
"He took it very well, didn't he? He came on and scored. I was buzzing for him, obviously, but buzzing for the country as well. It was class."
As he prepares to join Tierney in the Scotland camp for the first time, Donovan hopes the experienced defender will assist his transition into the senior international setup.
