After abrupt end, Kerala Blasters & BFC eye a fresh start in ISL

KOCHI: The two lead protagonists of the playoff drama last season, Kerala Blasters’ coach Ivan Vukomanovic and Bengaluru FC striker Sunil Chhetri, wouldn’t be in the dugout when the two teams square off at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on Thursday night.

While Vukomanovic is still serving a 10-match ban for leading his team off the pitch in that playoff game and will not be available for the four matches of Blasters this season, Chhetri is with the Indian team in Hangzhou.
