A German shepherd who loves chasing tennis balls has spent nearly all her life in kennels.
Petra came into the RSPCA's Warrington, Halton & St Helens branch as a puppy in May 2021 and has so far spent 720 days in kennels. Until now, the charity has been unable to rehome her due to court proceedings but has now been given the go-ahead to find the three-year old a new home.
Staff at the centre in Slutcher's Lane, Warrington, said Petra was anxious when she first arrived but has since made "great progress". The three-year-old has spent limited time living inside a house and will make a "wonderful companion" for owners who have experience of large breeds and nervous dogs.
