Adele's weight loss tips as singer shed 7st with three simple lifestyle changes

Adele thrilled fans as she returned to the UK to perform at Hyde Park last weekend.

The pop superstar was known for her cigarette habit and love for a sugary brew when she shot to stardom in 2008. However, the 34-year-old decided to implement some lifestyle changes when her son Angelo was born in 2013.

Adele has since lost seven stone and wows fans when she shows off her slimmer frame. According to Mirror Online, the first thing step she took was to ditch her daily 10 cups of sugary tea and wave goodbye to alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine and all "spicy, citrusy, and tangy" foods.

Adele adopted the Sirtfood Diet in 2017, which sees slimmers fill up on plant-based foods like kale, buckwheat, green tea and turmeric. The foods are known as sirtuin activators, and are said to control the way the body processes fat and sugar and regulate the appetite in the process.

Green tea and cocoa powder are also on the menu, along with red wine and cheese. A source told the Daily Mail: "The Sirtfood Diet is all about losing weight and feeling fantastic through eating great-tasting food.

"It's based on extensive research into the power of key plant foods, which when added to our diet turn on fat burning and improve wellbeing."

In a bid to improve her health from all angles, the singer has also made some changes to her fitness regime - and she hired LA 'body wizard' pilates instructor Camila Goodis. The fitness expert appeared on an edition of Lorraine and shared the secrets to Adele's weight loss journey.

Camila said: "She looks amazing - she's changed her lifestyle she changed diet. I believe now she's into working out, she's been working out more and more but is 90% what she did is diet. There is no secret, I didn't help with any diet. She started doing The Sirtfood diet and now she's maintaining it and eating healthy.

"It's a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn't look too thin - she looks amazing."

Despite Adele's dedication, she has also admitted she will never relish going to the gym. She told Rolling Stone in 2016: "I mainly moan. I’m not, like, skipping to the f*****g gym. I don’t enjoy it.

"I do like doing weights. I don’t like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face. And if I don’t tour, you’ll catch me back down at the Chinese.”
