Adele's 'final concert' ticket prices skyrocket after announcing indefinite hiatus

Ticket prices for Adele’s ‘final concert’ are skyrocketing following the singer's announcement of an indefinite break from music.

The 36-year-old revealed over the weekend that she plans to step away from the spotlight after she wraps up her Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, in November.

During a show in Munich on Saturday, the Rolling in the Deep hitmaker informed fans that she has just 10 performances left in Vegas before taking an extended hiatus, leaving fans uncertain of when they’ll see her on stage again.

In response to her on-stage announcement, tickets for her final show at Caesars Palace on November 23, are seeing a surge in demand.

Last-minute ticket platform Gametime has reported that the cheapest seats are now priced at $2,770, with premium spots climbing to over $14,000 each.

The average ticket price has jumped from $2,800 last Sunday to a staggering $4,700, and prices are expected to rise further.

Sky high concert ticket prices have made headlines in recent days after Oasis fans faced steep prices for their reunion shows due to Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing policy, which in some cases doubled the cost of general standing tickets.

Liam and Noel Gallagher have extended their Live '25 tour to include two more London shows on September 27 and 28, using a new "staggered invitation-only ballot process" with applications to join the ballot opened first to those who were unsuccessful in the initial sale.

The ballot will run using the same system as the pre-order ballot on Friday which featured transparent ticketing prices on Ticketmaster.

It comes days after many fans were shocked by standard tickets for the reunion tour more than doubling from £148 to £355 on Ticketmaster, prompting the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge they will look into the use of dynamic pricing.

Elsewhere, Adele has said she has no plans for a follow-up to 30 and that this could be her swansong, at least for a while.

“I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f**king good at it,” she told the Munich crowd.

“And I have really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I’ll ever do.”

Adele added: “After that [finishes], I will not see you for an incredibly long time.

“I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break, and I will fantasise about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years. It has been amazing, I just need a rest

“I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now. I will remember these shows for eternity, they have been spectacular.”

Getting emotional, she added that she will miss her fans “terribly” and hopes she will see them in Las Vegas.
