Adele's boyfriend Rich Paul 'livid' when fan tried to give her their number

Adele has said her boyfriend Rich Paul was "livid" when a fan tried to give her his number.

A video emerged from her Las Vegas residency on Friday night which seemed to show a man trying to slip her his number.

The singer said her sports agent partner threatened to beat the man up after the incident.

However, she set the record straight when she explained that the fan actually tried to sell her a car mid-performance.

Speaking on stage at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace the following evening, Adele said: "Someone texted me something this morning saying that a guy tried to give me his number last night when I was walking through this way.

"He wasn’t, he was just trying to make me buy a car from him. I told my boyfriend and he was livid. He was like, ‘That man’s going to be put to sleep’."

Adele is currently performing her Weekends With Adele residency which was due to go ahead earlier this year.

The mum-of-one was performing her third set of shows when she went on to criticise celebrities who make music documentaries.

However she praised her pal Lizzo, insisting that her recent film, Love, Lizzo, was one of a few good ones.

Adele explained: "I’ve seen her from time to time and we’ve had a few really amazing one-on-one-type emotional girlfriend conversations and stuff and I really think very highly of her.

"And her documentary . . . I hate music documentaries. I ain’t got time for no one doing documentaries who are in their thirties or forties. Unless you’re Tina Turner or The Beatles, get out of town.

"But I absolutely loved it, it was so sincere. It was so truthful. I enjoyed it so much and I laughed and cried. I loved seeing all the footage and all the photographs of her when she was little. She’s such an amazing person."

Adele added: "She’s so thoughtful, she sends flowers to you, she remembers things about you. She’s amazing."

Adele will be performing each Friday and Saturday up to and including Christmas Eve before resuming her show for another 10 weekends from Friday January 20 to Saturday March 25 next year.

When the shows were first due to go ahead she announced the sudden postponement on her initial spell in Las Vegas back in January as the show was simply "not ready".

In an emotional video at the time, she revealed it had been "absolutely destroyed" by delivery delays and coronavirus, saying her production team had tried "absolutely everything" to pull the show together in time but that it had been "impossible".
