Adele is at risk of angering her fan base if she puts off her Las Vegas shows any more.
The music legend cancelled her Las Vegas residency just 24 hours before the opening night, tearfully telling fans: “I’m so sorry. It just ain’t ready.”
At the time she blamed delivery delays of set parts and the fact “half her crew” had been struck down with Covid.
But now the Easy on Me singer has been accused of putting her love life before her music career.
It is claimed her one-year romance with sports promoter Rich Paul is getting in the way of her making “important career decisions”.
A source told Heat magazine: “Her management have told Adele that if she delays the Vegas gigs any further, she’s going to upset her fanbase even more. She could also face a public backlash that she’ll struggle to recover from.
“It seems as if she’s been putting off important career decisions because she’s been finding it hard to focus on work, instead of her relationship.
“Rich makes her feel safe, while the thought of going back on stage terrifies her.”
Adele started dating Rich in early 2021 after being introduced by mutual friends.
The couple were spotted in public for the first time in July pair at a basketball game, before making their relationship Instagram official in September.
Last month, The Mirror exclusively revealed Adele had moved in with Rich and was holed up in his £10 million Beverly Hills mansion while she dealt with the fallout of her cancelled gigs.
A source claimed that as well as the set issues, Adele had barely rehearsed for the upcoming shows.
This was because she was “constantly on the phone with Rich, loudly shouting and sobbing”.
It was said the singer “couldn’t get through a single full rehearsal” despite a month of preparation.
Mirror has contacted Adele's representatives for comment.
Despite rumblings of trouble in paradise, Adele – who suffers from anxiety around performing - took to Instagram to put the record straight following reports her relationship with Rich was “on the rocks”.
Prior to her BRITS performance and appearance on The Graham Norton Show, she said she was “really happy” to be back in the UK.
Touching on recent speculation about her love life, she added: “Oh, and Rich sends his love.”
It comes after an insider revealed Adele cancelled her Las Vegas shows due to the breakdown of their romance.
In fact the opposite could be true, as it is rumoured Adele and Rich are actually engaged.
Adele told Graham Norton she would neither confirm or deny it – while also appearing to hint the couple are trying for a baby.
Just last week she teased their plans to have a family together saying: “Imagine if I have to cancel [the Las Vegas shows] because I’m pregnant!’
Rich is said to have been less than impressed his other half revealed their private plans, which he thought were a closely guarded secret.
Rich is Adele’s first relationship since her split from British charity boss Simon Konecki, 47.
They share nine-year-old son, Angelo, and finalised their divorce in March 2021.
